The Music of Living Landscape sound installation was created by Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc and Thomas Tilly, based on the homonymous text by Guyanese writer Wilson Harris, broadcast in 1996 by BBC Radio 4. The Music of Living Landscape, as embodied in this work by an interweaving of voices and phonographs reinterpreting the original archive, is delivered through a set of loudspeakers specially adapted to the exhibition space. By varying the depths and densities of listening, the piece re-enacts the complex narrative and perceptive states propounded by the author.
