Cables & Signs (Ten underwater field recordings) comprises a series of monophonic hydrophonic pieces recorded in the moat of the Sanzay Castle in western France (Deux-Sèvres department) in June 2009. Part of an ongoing study of underwater plant and animal life that started in early 2000, Cables & Signs explores the acoustic porosity between environments and the mechanics at work in the process of photosynthesis.
